How to change user password in Windows 7?

A good password is the first line of defense to protect your computer data from prying eyes.  Changing your password on a regular basis is another important computer security strategy to help keep your PC secure. Here are 3 methods for you to change Windows 7 password.

Method 1: Through Control Panel
1. Click Start, Control Panel, User Accounts and Family Safety, User Accounts.
2. In the Make changes to your user account area of the User Accounts window, click the Change your password link.
3. Enter your old and new password on the following window, and then click Change password button.

Method 2: Trough the Ctrl+Alt+Del
1. Go to Ctrl+Alt+Del screen by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del , and then click the Change a password link on the window.
2. On the coming up screen, type your original password, type and confirm a new password, and then press Enter.

Method 3: Trough Local Users and Groups
1. Open Local Users and Groups by pressing Windows + R to pop up the Run command, and then typing lusrmgr.msc in it and clicking OK.
2. When the local users and groups screen appears, click on the Users folder in the left pane
3. Right-click Administrator to select  Set Passwords…
4. On the following screen, type a new password and confirm it, and then click OK.
